Our mama has now gained her angel wings. 25/03/24

07 years ago our mum survived a AVM brain aneurysm back in April 14th 2017. When that happened we thought we was gonna loose our mum as her blood pressure went over 200. She spent months in Auckland Hospital ICU and then got transferred to Middlemore for Rehab. Mum had to learn how to do everything all over again. Walk, eat, open a milk bottle even learn her kids names. 02 years ago our mum was diagnosed with Dementia which we were prepared for as we were told that she would get dimentia due to the aneurysm. Our mum is a strong woman, on 14th of February 2024 our mum has been diagnosed with aggressive terminal lung cancer stage 3 with no cure. Mum has been given Months to live.

Our mum Ruth Poto is a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and daughter/friend. With mum recently been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. This news has shocked our family deeply, we are heartbroken and can not believe how little time we have left with her.

It has been difficult to watch her deteriorate so quickly. Due to her lack of appetite and difficulty with eating, she has lost a tremendous amount of weight.

This sudden news has caused us grief as we have not been able to share enough happy moments with her.
