Alcohol dependency affects most families in this and other countries. Sobriety Wealth is an Online programme to help Dependants & Families.

Nationwide

Sobriety Wealth is an online, comprehensive Web based service enabling our active users, their families, friends, employers, youth groups, schools etc to access information and concise help in relation to Alcohol Dependency - all in complete privacy if they desire.

Vision: To End Alcohol Dependency

Mission: a) To assist dependent persons to break the alcohol cycle

b) To assist and encourage those affected by dependent people

Values: To build on trust, integrity and respect - long term relationships with our team, active users and all those involved.

The current problem and family influence is horrific and is getting worse. It is our aim to bring about a platform, not only for Dependents and family to get 'in home' private help, but also create education programmes for Schools, Youth groups and the public to be able to manifest 'influence'.

Is this a huge vision?

You bet it is and it needs to be to make a difference.

Will we end alcohol dependency? Unlikely, but we will make a difference to hundreds of thousands of lives, both dependants and families thereof.

Who are we to make such statements?

Kevin and Pandora Young have gone a full circle since their heady and controversial years in Western Australia when they founded the organisation to help, house and look after alcoholics and homeless people (ACRAH inc).

It was during those years that they learned ground breaking facts about alcohol dependency, counselled thousands of people with alcohol problems and changed the way Australia dealt with alcoholism and homelessness. In recognition they received a "Young Australian of the Year" Award, a ‘Citizen of the Year’ Award, a personal visit from the Governor of WA and various other recognitions. They were featured regularly in the papers, on radio and TV and they became known as the "Historic couple with Legendary Concern" in the field of alcoholism and homelessness in Australia. After moving to New Zealand where they have owned a number of businesses including Tourist resort, Manufacturing business, a local Paper, Trucking business and a Print business, they retired and became unfulfilled.

About that time they had reason to once again become involved in the alcohol field and soon saw a huge gap in the understanding and treatment for those with an Alcohol Dependency and are now starting a 'Online' service to help those with the problem.

Why an 'Online' service? Because it can reach more people, more quickly and more importantly reach the people who actually need it BEFORE dependency gets its tight grip.

This is an exciting project for which we have begun to gather the contacts and organise the infrastructure to build such as site, the likes of which New Zealand has not seen before.

The funds raised will go to an account held in trust by accountants and be used for travel and business expenses for a meeting with experts in the USA. in December. They have already discussed the project and have the resources, the legal advice, people and massive funds required to instigate, build and launch such a site.

We are grateful for any assistance that you may be able to give.

For anyone who would like to discuss the programme, first email your phone number to overcomealcoholdependency@gmail.com and we will call you back.
