We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of our dear sister Liberty Fernandez who was on a visitor's visa here in New Zealand. We rushed her to Middlemore Hospital last Friday. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with a Left Anterior Complete Infarct (Stroke) and Incidental finding of Lung Cancer. She was operated on at Auckland Hospital, but her recovery did not last long, due to her brain had swollen affecting the other side of her brain. Our travel insurance declined our appeal and said she was not eligible for any claims.

We are humbly knocking on your golden hearts for a little help so that we can bring my sister home to Tarlac, Philippines. Our family would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who has sent their prayers and love to our sister. To the emergency/medical/stroke team of both Middlemore and Auckland Hospital, Thank you.
