Our foster dog needs surgery on his knees

Pac Man needs new knees!
Pac Man is a 9ish month old staffy cross type dog. He was found on 14/12/16 tied up on a choker chain to a picnic table at Pacific Aerospace (PAC) next to the Hamilton Airport. We have looked for his owners with no luck as he is not microchipped and nobody has come forward.
He looks like he was a well loved dog and is in good condition except that he limps on his back legs and is sometimes so sore that he drags them.
We have had him checked by the Vet and done X-rays. He has badly luxating patella's. This has possibly been caused by trauma at some stage in his life. To fix this he will need to undergo two big surgeries and will have a fair bit of recovery time to be able to live a normal pain free life.
These surgeries are quite expensive, I have been able to get them slightly discounted at the vet clinic that I work at.
We will also desex, microchip, vaccinate and treat him for worms and fleas to get him ready to be rehomed and give him another chance at life.
He is a beautiful loving dog with a very sweet and playful nature so we want to do the very best for him.
Without these surgeries he would have to be put to sleep.
The money will go toward his surgeries and the upkeep of food etc while he is recovering for 12 or more weeks
He was found at my husbands work and we have been fostering him while looking for his owners and now are trying to save his life
