Raise vital funds for Child Cancer Foundation through our attempt to break a world record of the longest marathon for a radio show.
Auckland
Panmure FM 107.0 and V3 FM are excited to announce that coming Friday 1st March 2019 at 7am NZ local time DJ's Darren Masters, Wayne Browning and Stephen Johnson will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record in category - Longest marathon for a radio music show DJ team.
The current record stands at 106.50 hours made by a DJ team Dubai in 2018. We want to smash that record to 144 hours or six days straight on air! All this is to raise money for the Child Cancer Foundation.
We are also excited to have some major sponsors onboard to keep us fed, hydrated and generally looked after as we make this attempt. Our show over the six days will feature music from the 50s through to 90s (and requests) as well as on-air callers plus heaps of give a ways! We are also excited to have local emergency services, Westpac Rescue and others attending our studio to keep us awake! The list goes on and we will keep you informed as we progress closer to the date. If you can air our mission, film it, come see it and support it - whatever you can do for this amazing cause. We need your help to raise awareness and money for Kiwi kids with cancer.
Every week more than three Kiwi children are diagnosed with cancer. Child Cancer Foundation receives no direct government funding, and we have to fundraise so we can be there for these newly diagnosed children, their siblings and parents, while also continuing to support over 1,700 families nationwide.
Donations go towards a variety of practical, emotional and social support services for families nationwide. Every family is different, and so is the support they receive.
Child Cancer Foundation wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for our supporters. While you may not have experienced the work we do first-hand, please know that your contribution will make a difference to the lives of Kiwi children with cancer and their families.
All money raised will go to the Child Cancer Foundation, who help support Kiwi kids with cancer and their families.
