Help support Carl from House of Shem & his family through his journey with Terminal Bowel Cancer, we want to thank everyone for their Love.
Carl Perkins, A Husband, Father to 5 sons, Grand Father, Great Grandfather and a legend of New Zealand music. Carl started his international career with Reggae icons “HERBS” as a Musician & Song writer and now currently the driving force behind World renowned Reggae band “HOUSE OF SHEM”.
3 days before his 58th birthday on 15 February 2017 Carl was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer. One week later following an MRI & CT scan it was confirmed by the consultant that the cancer had advanced and was non-treatable with months to live. Despite this prognosis Carl will not give up and remains positive.
These last few days we as a family have grieved the inevitable as we have shared this devastating news with loved ones. The emotional impact this has had on Carl and his family has been huge, and also places a huge financial burden on future plans. However, with Carl’s determination and positive outlook we are seeking alternative treatments, which have proven successful results, but come at a hefty cost.
We believe through your support this will not only give Carl a quality of Life but also the opportunity to Continue Performing while he is fit, complete current Recordings, Video clips and to film a Documentary on his life.
If you are connected to Carl in anyway please send only messages of Encouragement, Joy & Happiness throughout this Journey
We thank you all for Your love, kindness and support
