Help us Paramedic students do medical volunteering in Cusco. We want to help those less privileged and learn while we do it!
Auckland
We are a group of 13 AUT Paramedic students who are fundraising towards a 2 week trip medical volunteering in Cusco, Peru in June 2017. We will be doing this trip through a well known group called International Volunteer HQ. One week will be spent going to rural communities where general check ups and vaccinations will be given to those who don't usually have access to these resources. The next will be spent helping and learning in local hospitals and GP practices.
This is an amazing opportunity to develop our skills and experience how another countries health system works. We will be able to transfer this knowledge to our practice here in New Zealand.
All money donated to our trip will be put towards our flights and our registration fees with the volunteer company.
Our group consists of Emma Ballard, Sofie Heaphy, Rikayla Richardson, Peta Thomson, Sam Lucy, Eve Clarke, Kaycee Bottcher, Nadine Wriesnik, Olliver Bowen, Bridget Morris, Sophie Brown, Sophie Smith and Caitlin Pike.
I'm involved as a group organiser.
