Patrick has Rhabdomyosarcoma
Nationwide
Patrick Roberts is four years old and has been diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer - Rhabdomyosarcoma.
His family will be spending at least the next 12 months living in a bubble to keep away from germs while Patrick receives chemotherapy just about every week.
Patricks family would like to make the next year as little about needles, plasters and sickness as possible and as much about fun and adventures that all 4 year old boys want to be part of.
It is important to his journey that he have a safe controlled environment and to enable his family the time they need to support each other.
Lots has been going on..... 2 February 2015
Hi eneryone. Thank you once again to everyone that is helping us out. A lot has happened over the last two months. Patrick has had many more rounds of chemo and a recent MRI shows the tumours are responding to the chemo and reducing in size. He has a nasogastric tube now to receive overnight feeds and has had two blood transfusions and many GCSF injections to help improve his blood counts. Please do join the 'friends of patrick' closed Facebook group to receive regular updates on how he is going.
