I have a life long passion for the outdoors and adventure.

I am putting together a team of first time adventure racers that thought would never have the opportunity to compete in this amazing event.. I will be part of a 4 person team racing around the Abel Tasman region area in April 2016. The race is undertaken over the course of 7 days, and will see us race over 500km in the pure race. The team is made up of four with at least 1 female team member. I will be the teams navigator, so my direct responsibility will be to get us to each check point in the quickest and easiest way possible without getting lost.

When I first watched the Southern Traverse on TV many years ago I knew that something like that is exactly what I want to have a go at.

Our team is made up of Adventure racing rookies.

We have secured an entry for next year which is very exciting.

The race will be tracked live online as soon as we start, so you can watch our progress as we make our way into the unknown.

What your donation will be put towards:

-Compulsory gear ( to cover any gear we do not currently have)

-Travel to Kaiteretere, Im from Auckland and the rest of the team are from the South Island.

-Accommodation (1-2 days before and after the event).

-Food - high energy food and snacks

-Entry fees -$7500 per team when paid in full early (deposit paid to secure our entry)

What can you have in return??

We are accepting donations of goods and services which will be raffled off on here via your donation..YES thats right!! your donation will get you a raffle ticket.. Check out the updates for donated items for raffling and any upcoming raffles and winners..

We are also looking for a naming sponsor as we do not have a team name at present.
