The wild cat whisperer - giving wild cats a second chance to a life they deserve!
Auckland
The wild cat whisperer,
I am starting this givealittle page for my incredible friend, Sophia.
For the last four years, she has been rescuing cats and given them a second chance to a life that they deserve. What makes Sophia so special? Most people are after the tiny kittens, or cute adults who loves to cuddle, but Sophia, she takes on the cats that most people deem as "too much work", aka, the wildlings.
She has become somewhat of a "wildlings whisperer", and can most often tame these cats within months, however, sometimes she spends years to make them learn how to trust humans. No matter how long it will take to tame them, she will never give up on any paw soul. And these souls often become the best companions!
She has been paying for all vet bills from her own expenses, and I know that she would be able to save more lives and make an even bigger impact, with a little help from fellow cat lovers.
I am my beneficiary's best friend. She saves injured cats from the streets / abusive homes and pays all the vet bills with her own money.

We didn't win this one. 27 September 2022
Tough day yesterday. I volunteered to collect a cat from a nice lady. This cat just walked into her house on Saturday afternoon and collapsed. She fed her and looked after her over night and reached out to rescues for help. One is south Auckland said they would take her but couldn't collect her. So I said I'd go get her and drop her off the the rescue. But when I saw this sweet girl, knew I had to get her straight to the vets. She was just bones, looked tired and in pain. Off to Whangaparaoa we went as they had availability. The vet examined sweet girl and the news wasn't good. Felt like she has cancer all through her liver and was in heart failure and was severely anemic. Poor girl was just bones and could barely walk. Vets said it was kindest to let her go. I asked if there was any treatment we could give her just to let her experience a few weeks of love and all the premium food she could eat. The vets said there wasn't anything we could do for her, and I could see she was in pain. So I agreed to let her go to sleep. I stayed with her and held her paw and talk to her and even though I knew her for such a short time, I cried for her. My fella named her Boo Radley as no cat dies without a name.
Fly high Boo. I'm sorry this is all I could do for you. 🐾💕🌈
