Pedro's Empanadas needs your help after devastating fire
Support Pedro and Sarah after a fire destroyed their garage, taking their empanada business and pottery tools.

On the evening of January 23rd 2025, my father Pedro and his wife Sarah experienced a devastating fire that completely gutted their garage. Tragically, they lost everything inside due to an unexpected electrical fault.
Pedro and Sarah are beloved members of the Blenheim community and beyond. Pedro’s famous empanadas, a Sunday staple at the local farmers’ market, have brought joy and delicious flavors to so many. This business is their livelihood, and this loss has been deeply impactful.
Sarah, a passionate member of the Picton pottery community, has also lost all her tools, materials, and completed works, leaving her unable to continue creating and supporting the community she loves.
Unfortunately, they were uninsured, and the road to recovery feels overwhelming. I’m reaching out in the hope that we can rally together to help them rebuild, get back on their feet, and continue doing what they do best, bringing people together through their work and passion.

Pedro is my father, and I’m raising funds to help him and his wife Sarah rebuild after losing their garage and livelihood to a fire.
Use of funds
The money will be spent on kitchen gear, freezers, deep friers and ingredients to try and get their business back up and running as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Because of your support, we are excited to get back to doing what we love and hope to be back at the Farmers Market as soon as we can.
We are so grateful to be part of such a wonderful and caring community. Your help has made a big difference, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon.
