Penny has been powerlifting for 4 years and is now on track to be a world champion.

Help Penny get to Italy for the World Powerlifting Championships Oct/Nov 2023.

Penny has been selected to represent NZ at the World Powerlifting Championships being held in Italy from the 31st October and the 1st of November 2023.

Penny is the top Powerliftier in NZ in her weight and age class. She currently holds the New Zealand squat record of 125kg that she broke earlier this year. As she is currently 17 years old this is her last opportunity to attempt to break the youth world record squat which has been held for over 8 years.

Powerlifting is a non-funded sport in NZ, so please donate to help Penny represent NZ on the world stage.

Penny has been a member at Limit Zero since June 2021.

Use of funds

Return flights to Italy, accomodation for 10 days, and entry fee into the World Powerlifting Championships, in order to break a youth world record.

Penny is off to the World Champs!  28 October 2023

Penny and her mother left for Italy yesterday (Friday 27th Oct) and she will be competing for the world title on Tuesday 31st Oct, which works out to be early morning Wednesday 1st November in NZ. We will update you further accordingly. Penny has put in a lot of training and is ready to give it her all.
