Every child deserves an education. Your small change can supply all the educational materials required for a child in Petemon Village.

Bay of Plenty

Petemon Village is situated in Pejeng, about 20 minutes outside of Ubud, Bali.

This small traditional village is working had to educate their children, but are sadly lacking the funds to provide even the most basic of educational resources.

When I initially asked around the village what would be a great gift to give to some local families, the response was paper and a pencil so the children can draw, write and learn.

This is such a basic need, and these children are so deserving and are working hard to gain their education.

They attend school Monday to Friday 8am -4pm, then they are back on the weekends for their english lessons and to work on school maintenance.

Imagine what a difference it would make to have the basic resources needed so they could practice and reinforce their learning.

Learning english in particular is so important for the balinese as this hugely increases the opportunity to earn a decent wage later in life.

It costs just $6 to supply a child with a complete educational resource pack.

There are 105 students at the school and our goal is to supply every child with their own individual pack.

Victoria Yardley's involvement (page creator)

Our family of five are currently living in Petemon Village for the next 2 months and have been welcomed into this small community.

One of the deciding factors in choosing this village for our stay was the ability to volunteer and help teach english at the local village school.

Now that we are here, we have discovered that it is possible to have a much larger impact on the community.

The majority of the families cannot afford even the most basic school resources required for their children's education.

We decided to reach out for help to create a much larger impact in the lives of these children.

The gift of education is priceless and these children are so deserving of these resources.

These are the things that we take for granted.

For just $6 NZD we can supply a child with a complete set of educational resources. As well as extra supplies to give directly to the school.

If we can raise the full amount of $800 (or more) we will also be able to supply the school with some much needed sporting equipment.

We have sourced the products locally to ensure the village is benefiting each step of the way.

Please help us to achieve this goal and make a real difference in the lives of these children.

We guarantee that every cent raised will go directly towards benefiting Petemon School and students.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
