Phoebe Kenderdine- Rock Climbing World Cups in Europe 2022
Please help me compete in 2022 Climbing World Cups and World University Games!

Hi everyone!
My name is Phoebe, I'm 19 years old, and I'm a competitive rock climber. This year I'll be travelling to Europe to compete in a series of IFSC (International Federation of Sport Climbing) Opens World Cups, and the FISU World University Games. I'm extremely lucky to be representing New Zealand and I'm aiming to do this the best I can. I am incredibly excited for this opportunity, and this trip will benefit me so much as an athlete.
Climbing in New Zealand is quite a young sport, and so there is no funding for coaching, management, competition, or travel costs. Since this trip is not funded by any clubs or organisations, I need to sort all costs myself. I would be very grateful for any support I can get!
Use of funds

I want to give another huge thank you to everyone who supported by adventures this year. Your generous donations helped me get to Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France, where I competed in five different international climbing competitions. I got to meet, watch, and compete against some of the best climbers in the world, which was a life-changing experience.
I returned to New Zealand in August and have now finished off my year of study at university. Travelling and competing overseas was truly incredible and I am very grateful to all of you who helped make it happen. I learnt so many valuable lessons along this rollercoaster of a journey, and I now know what it takes to be able to compete at that level. At the moment I'm planning to stay put in Dunedin to finish off my degree, climbing with the crew at Resistance.
And who knows, maybe I'll be back some day!
