Help Phoebe to fund insulin pump therapy consumables and CGM

Phoebe Ball has type 1 diabetes.  Type 1 diabetes is a life threatening medical condition that needs to be managed 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  There is no cure, there is no break from the disease.  Fortunately there is amazing technology available in New Zealand that can help phoebe manage this disease.  Unfortunately phoebe does not fit the criteria for funding from pharmac.

She needs your help and support.  We are wanting to raise funds to acquire an insulin pump which will  reduce needles and deliver insulin through a port.  We are also wanting to try and get enough funds so she can afford a dexcom g5 ..  this system along with the pump is extraordinary.  The dexcom g5 is costly but it monitors your blood glucose levels constantly and when you go hypoglaecaemic (low blood sugar)  it sounds an alarm so that the person is aware and if sleeping can wake up to treat the low blood sugar.  This device also sends all readings to other people's phones and sounds an alarm to them when hypoglaecaemic.

Phoebe is currently exhausted drained and having a bad time with this disease.  It's extremely important for her to get this technology so that she doesn't breakdown physically mentally and emotionally.  Waking up to test in the night constantly and not being able to see trends is affecting her life.  She can do better and as her friend I have put this plight up to help her deal and cope with this ugly disease.
