Pierre’s Bowel Cancer Journey

This page has been established for friends and whānau that are willing to contribute to Pierre’s last journey.

As some of you may know Pierre was diagnosed back in 2018 with advanced bowel cancer as a 37 year old. Like everything in Pierre’s life, being a husband, a father and son, he’s chosen to take responsibility for this journey. Carrying the cost of additional treatments outside of the surgeries and chemo, creating the memories, investing in things in and around his home and other to help toward the care of his wife and children and parents, when dad was with us.

To Whānau and friends, Pierre is officially in the stage they call “end of life”. We are always hopeful but we are realistic. We are preparing as a whānau to continue to take care of the responsibilities that we have now and those that will come. Pierre and his whānau didn’t want to burden any of our extended whānau and our beloved friends with our concerns. In doing this we realise we denied the opportunity for those of you who wanted to give. This is why we have created this page. To give opportunity to those who want the opportunity.
