Important update and payee change 12.9.2023
12 September 2023Thank you all for donating to this page to support Emerald Tai's children.
When the page was moderated in April 2020, it did state that 'All monies raised will be deposited into a trust account under the children's name for their future' and Givealittle has been holding the funds raised on this page, waiting for a Trust to be established.
This update is to let you know that funds will not be paid into a Trust and will instead will be paid to the children's Aunty, Hinekura Laveaina. The courts have appointed Hinekura to have day-to-day care (custody) of the children and this is the most efficient way for the funds to be available for the children's benefit given the time and costs associated with setting up a trust.
When there is a change to the payee of a page, for transparency reasons we let the donors know and given this change, should you wish to receive a refund please contact helpdesk@givealittle.co.nz by the 18th September 2023.

Thank you for update, I don't want a refund my donation was for the Emeralds tamariki and I am pleased to know they are with whanau with whom they will be loved and nurtured. Arohanui for their future.
