Supporting the children of Emerald Tai
We want to raise funds for the Emerald's surviving children to make their life a bit easier without their beloved mum.

Emerald Tai tragically passed away with her 3-day-old son and seventh child Tanatui Samuels on Monday March 16 this year.
Her six older children are now growing up in a world with no mother.
We have set this page up raise funds for Emerald's beloved kids, to make their lives and futures a little bit easier.
All money raised will be used to support these children and provide for their futures including everything they need on a daily basis, for school and to keep them healthy and happy.
We want to make sure they have everything Emerald would have given them.

My name is Susan Faamoe. I am the mother of Emerald Tai who passed away with her seventh child, Tanatui Samuels on Monday, 16th March 2020. I am setting up this page to raise funds for her remaining six children who now have no mother.
Use of funds
I am setting up this page to raise funds for Emerald Tai's remaining six children who now have no mother. All monies raised will be deposited into a trust account under the children's name for their future.

Thank you all for donating to this page to support Emerald Tai's children.
When the page was moderated in April 2020, it did state that 'All monies raised will be deposited into a trust account under the children's name for their future' and Givealittle has been holding the funds raised on this page, waiting for a Trust to be established.
This update is to let you know that funds will not be paid into a Trust and will instead will be paid to the children's Aunty, Hinekura Laveaina. The courts have appointed Hinekura to have day-to-day care (custody) of the children and this is the most efficient way for the funds to be available for the children's benefit given the time and costs associated with setting up a trust.
When there is a change to the payee of a page, for transparency reasons we let the donors know and given this change, should you wish to receive a refund please contact helpdesk@givealittle.co.nz by the 18th September 2023.
