Constanza is a grandmother with a badly broken femur, living in Venezuela. Treatment would cost more than 70 years wages for someone locally

In recent years haven't heard much about Venezuela, I had no idea it was a country in such economic turmoil. According to the UN over 5 million Venezuelans have fled the country - a number only exceeded by Syria. It is a quiet tragedy we don't hear anything of in our media.
It's a problem so big the world needs to take notice and help - too big for individuals in New Zealand to solve. But amongst this, there is one person I know of that I can help today.
Constanza in the city of Barinas is an 84 year old grandma that has recently badly broken her femur, close to the hip. In Venezuela, the public health system is so bad that easily preventable diseases like Malaria are on the rise and nurses are paid about USD$6 per MONTH. Even if there was room in he hospital, the family must provide basics such as scalpels and gloves.
Costanza's hope of recovery is a private hospital, which can do surgery and put in plates for about USD$2500 - a truly gigantic amount of money for her family to raise, when the average wage is $3 per month.
I love that this page is New Zealanders showing generosity to the problems in their own communities; but surely we can extend this generosity to help make one family's situation amongst a world scale tragedy a bit better? Please join me in helping Constanza's family raising - this money will go to her granddaughter, whom I know, and is desperately trying to find money where this is none.
I am good friends with her granddaughter Maria Valentina, who will receive the funds to help
USD$2500 is needed for the surgery and more for after treatment - but the main thing now is making sure she get the surgery she needs to recover
