Please help a mother who requires ear surgery

$43 of $7,000 goal
Given by 5 generous donors in around 6 months

I am nearly totally deaf in my left ear I have been rejected multiple times for publicly funded surgery meaning I have to go private.

Hawke's Bay

I have a total perforation of my left eardrum which means that I am nearly totally deaf in my left ear. I am also a solo mother to a three-year-old and I really wish that I was able to hear more of what he is trying to say to me.

I am also a full-time student, this hearing loss has been impacting my learning.

My hearing is deteriating more and more as time goes on, my concern is that if there is a fire, will I be able to hear the smoke alarm?

unfortunately, I have been referred for a Myringoplasty multiple times, each time the ENT put me on the wait list only for me to be rejected. This means that I have to go private which i cannot afford.

This surgery will benefit me greatly, even if it does not increase my hearing to what it used to be, it will at least make it possible for me to be able to wear a hearing aid meaning I will be able to hear my son grow up properly.

Use of funds

The money will be spent on private surgery to repair my perforated eardrum.

If I do not reach my goal, all money will still go towards my surgery.

Anything extra will go towards a much deserved holiday for my son and I.
