Please help Aunty Lois

Putaruru, Waikato

Aunty Lois has been in Dementia care for nearly 6 years. Her daughter Melanie has been subsidizing her care as the Government Funding does not cover the full cost. Melanie has Aunty Lois at a facility in Pūtāruru close to where she lives so she can visit her often.

Sadly due to the current cost of living, there is an outstanding amount of $7000. The facility where Aunty Lois is has asked Melanie to take her Mum out and have declined the payment plan Melanie has offered them.

Aunty Lois has end stage dementia with behavioral challenges that have meant other Dementia Providers in the surrounding area that are more affordable will not take her.

Moving Aunty Lois now would be very unsettling and cause more trauma.

Please if you can, we need to raise as much as we can so Melanie can pay the care facility. Aunty Lois is end stage, it would be so nice if she did not have be moved to a care facility 2 hours drive away and away from her normal routine.
