This page is in support of Brooklyns quality of life and death.
Whakatane, Bay Of Plenty
On the 4th of October, 3weeks post final intense chemotherapy treatment for a rare child's cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, Brooklyn started experiencing severe headaches which caused her to become disoriented. Whakatane pediatric ward conducted a CT scan and Lumbar Puncture which identified abnormal cells within the lining of the brain and spinal fluid.
On the 6th of October Brooklyn and her mum were transported back into Starship hospital for an emergency Lumbar puncture and MRI to gather more information resulting with a new diagnosis of leptomeningeal disease. We've been encouraged to focus on Brooklyns 'quality of life'.
Our view of 'quality of life' for Brooklyn looks like natural therapy (Ozone and Intravenous Vit C) hoping to ease her symptoms, nourish her body and like any parent in this position, aiming for a cure. Brooklyn is the older sister of 3 siblings who love and adore her, so upon this phase of her life we'd like to make as many wonderful memories as possible.
If you could help and support us in anyway shape or form we'd greatly appreciate it.
We welcome in all prayer and high vibrational energy.
Thank you,
Brooklyns whanau.
"If there's a will, there's a way".
I am a very proud aunty of Brooklyn.
Donations will go towards all costs associated with treatment, including travel costs for Brooklyn & her whanau and Brooklyn’s parents taking time off work.
Brooklyn’s Update 25 October 2022
Our beautiful Brooklyn passed away on the 17th of October in Whakatane hospital. Our aim for our girl was to focus on her quality of life. Due to her passing we will be using donated funds for funeral services, to cover expenses from the past 2 weeks traveling to and from Starship and the expenses incurred with providing Brooklyn with the quality of life, as much as we could over our final week with her.
You all know Ngaire personally and have seen Brooklyns Journey, evolve and unravel.
This is the most daunting process for child cancer families. So the whanau again, thank you for all your aroha and support.
