Please help Caitlin as she represents New Zealand at the 2024 Cross Country World Championship

Hi I’m Caitlin McQuilkin-Bell,

I am a dedicated elite runner for Aotearoa New Zealand and been chosen to represent my beautiful country and people at the World Cross Country Championships in the Women's Open class, to be held in Serbia at the end of March.

Competing at elite levels at World Championship events has been a lifetime goal and focus of mine, but as with high performance running you can be subject to untimely injuries which essentially crushed my efforts to represent New Zealand at the last World Cross Country Championships in 2023. So to have been selected this year's event is an honor. I have represented New Zealand internationally twice before.

I work two coaching jobs to try to make ends meet. But I coach for the love of the sport and definitely not the money aspect!

I will be taking time off work to travel to Serbia. There are no financial support mechanisms to assist in covering or competing at this event from an administrative level so I'm excitedly reaching out via this Givealittle page to all my friends, athletes across the globe as well as any generous Kiwis who may want to assist me.

Your kind gestures will truly help by allowing me to focus more on my training and preparation for this event and worry less about the financial implications before I take the start line.

This is a short window to bring together funding for the event as the NZ Team selection was only recent, so any assistance is truly and gratefully welcomed.
