Please donate a little to help Matthew and Morgan afford a beautiful funeral for their baby son.
Auckland
On the afternoon of Sunday 15th September 2019 Morgan had an emergency cesarean at 34 weeks 3 days at North Shore Hospital, she gave birth to fraternal twins, one boy and one girl. It was made clear that the boy had to have surgery very soon and he was transferred to Auckland Hospital to have surgery the next day.
On Monday 16th September Riley Cooper went into surgery to correct the connection between his oesophageus and trachea, during this surgery a line was put in from his right shoulder to his stomach to feed him. Something went wrong and the line shifted slightly and pierced the pericardium and filled this with the fluid, the pressure from this fluid stopped his heart.
Riley died early on Tuesday 17th September.
There is a funeral on Wednesday and our family cannot afford as much as they would love to spend on their son, they are a modest couple but I know they would love to have the opportunity to choose the nicer wood, a softer fabric, better handles, and everything their little angel deserves.
I am Matthew's sister and Morgan's future sister-in-law
The money will be spent on funeral costs: a coffin, burial site, a beautiful outfit for him to be buried in, and any other costs associated or unseen. Any remaining funds will be gifted to the mother and father to spend on their daughter or themselves.
Thank you so much. 22 September 2019
