Please Help Get Our Mother (Aka Mrs Dolittle) Back Home One Last Time

Christine Jefferson or Chrissy as most will know her has spent over 56 years of her life, giving thousands of hours of her own time & money to save & rehabilitate many 2-legged friends, some of the bird types include:

Kereru, Morepork, King Fisher, Tui, Kaka, Kea, Albatross, Australasian Gannets, Hawks & of course the Little Blue Penguin.

Many will know the Rena Disaster where she dedicated 5 months of her own time to save many Little Blue Penguins who were rescued from the oil spill.

Chrissy born in the UK but relocated to Aotearoa over 35 years ago.

In the past 10 years Chrissy went all out building a rehab center, with specialized buildings & equipment all to DOC standard, funded by herself & husband Errol who also built the building, costing them $40,000 of their own funds, over the years she has received many small donations from local people which was mainly used to help towards funding food & vet bills.

Due to her age & health she had had to give up most of the rehab, but still takes in the odd one from time to time.

Now in her retirement years her Only Dream is to travel back to the UK just one more time, especially for her brothers 90th birthday in July, her son Tony & wife who live in Scotland, her 2 Grandchildren & her 2-year-old Great Grandson who she has never met, plus many friends who she will never see again after this trip.

Chrissy needs our help with funding this trip, as most of her Retirment savings are now diminished due to her lifelong commitment to wildlife.
