Beautiful Brody wants to be able to walk without pain . A dog wheelchair would give him this chance!
Pakuranga, Auckland
When Brody was just a puppy his deformed leg was removed as it was painful and not functional. Unexpectedly just a few months later Brody started to struggle to get around - which was unusual as most dogs do very well with three legs. Much to everyone’s horror, Brody had developed severe elbow dysplasia in his remaining front leg. This meant his only good legs were his back legs and he was also now diagnosed with hip dysplasia.
He's now suffering the ongoing consequences of the painful arthritic elbow he has to walk on daily. Brody’s remaining front leg is deteriorating with bone grinding on bone. Even though he is on several pain medications and multiple supplements, they are no longer working and he frequently falls over and struggles to get around.
His dedicated owner has been researching dog wheelchairs and has found a company who can provide a made to measure set of wheels for Brody. This obviously comes at a substantial cost and including the high import taxes it will be around 3,000.
Having the ability to be fully mobile again with the help of these wheels will certainly give Brody a huge new lease on life that he wholeheartedly deserves!
Corina has been a client of our clinic for many years. She is one of the most compassionate people we have ever met and gives her all to any animal that is lucky enough to be part of her family.
