Kaia is a talented Pacifica female beach and indoor volleyballer from the Far North with US scholarship offers needing help to get there.
Northland
Kaia’s dream is to study and play beach and indoor volleyball at a US university and she has almost made this dream a reality. She currently has four US scholarship offers for beach and indoor volleyball.
Kaia is a year 13 student from the Far North, a Prefect, she works part time, trains, competes, and coaches beach and indoor volleyball.
She travels twice a week from Kerikeri to Auckland (3 1/2 hrs one way) for her trainings, tournaments and games, for her U19 representative team at NZ Interprovincial champs and for her Premier North Harbour Dragons Open Women’s team.
She is also a key member of the NZ Maori Aotearoa Maori Poirewa (AMP) volleyball team based in Tauranga, which is a 6 hr drive one way.
We are selling our car, using our superannuation, Kaia is using her part-time job savings and we would be grateful for any financial contribution to help this talented, dedicated Pacifica athlete reach her dream.
I’m Trudy, Kaia’s super proud mum and her dad Patrick and I have, and always will sacrifice everything to support her dream.
The money will be going towards her accommodation, tuition, meals and flights.
Thank so much for your generosity, we really appreciate it. She really deserves this opportunity with all the hard work and dedication she has shown.

That is super generous thank you so much! Scar was such a great training, buddy to get me to where I am! She did, however, bite through a couple of my volleyballs in her exuberance to help!!!!!
