Please help Karen afford her basic needs during her cancer treatment

I am raising funds on behalf of Karen (60) Isherwood, a woman who has spent her life helping others. She has recently received the terrible news of having a rare type of aggressive breast cancer, where she has already undergone surgery and requires 3 months of chemotherapy and a week of radiation treatment. Karen cannot work for 6 months due to this, and she is also needed to care for her elderly husband who recently had a heart attack and has deteriorating dementia.

This news has shocked us all, especially since it comes directly after we all watched my grandmother die from breast cancer. No one deserves to have this happen to them, especially not Karen.

Karen is a gardener, but not just any. She went from tending to my Nana’s garden, to helping her in the home, to visiting her in the elderly home and hospital, to then becoming family with us all. She has raised her grandchild from a baby to a wonderful young woman, she has cared for her elderly husband, my family, and many of her friends. She loves her fashion, her garden, and a glass of wine in the evening.

While I can’t ask you to cure Karen’s cancer, I am hoping to gain your support in helping Karen afford her basic needs. Without her or her husband being able to work, they cannot afford their groceries, dog food, or bills.
