Please help Kevin if you can

My husband had a 9cm aneurysm growing in his stomach since finding that out he’s had 3 surgeries we almost lost him on the 2nd surgery he had a stoma bag put in and then few months later was able to have it reversed due to him being in hospital from September 2025 to November 2025 then having the reversal in January 2026 he had to medically resign from work and I had to quit work to look after him full time since him coming home he hasn’t been doing well we live nearly 2 hours from Whangarei hospital and it’s a long drive there and back not to mention the fuel we go through he is on the pension but unfortunately that only just covers our main bills we asked work & income for help but they said they couldn’t help us we asked the banks to lower our mortgage payment so we could have some extra money left each fortnight but they told us no we are struggling and any help would be deeply appreciated I understand there are more people out there that need the help more than us but even just spare change would help us. Before his surgery he was a hard working man providing for his family he weighed 95kg & was strong since surgeries he now weighs 50kg and is not putting on weight it is heartbreaking for our family to see him like this and I know it’s taking a toll on him he wishes to get part time work but doesn’t understand that in his condition he will never be able to work again. if you could spare a little change it would be very much appreciated he is still currently in hospital
