Please help Laurence fight Esophageal & Stomach Cancer

  • Only a little more time left.

    Friends and Family and Donors.

Unfortunately my cancer is so advanced now I can receive no more chemotherapy treatment.

I have been in hospital since last week and in Hospice now for advanced pain relief control.

My hope is to get back home one more time, and have all the bills paid. No expensive trips or anything, just home.

  • CT Scan results update

      24 September 2025

    Hi Friends and family

CT scan results were good & Bad.

Tumors have reduced in size, blood count is still good and the markers are dropping. However they noticed new tumor on my chest lymp nodes and liver. As it's not normal for new tumor growth during chemotherapy treatment, they may have always been there and not been noticed, an unknown really.

So more chemotherapy has now been charted for me until the end of November, a long road from here. As I am not working I'm still on unpaid leave, I am on a WINZ benefit that pays very little.

So everyday I wake up I am grateful for all of you, my generous donors. I haven't and will not ever forget your kindness and generosity. Thank you all so much 🙏❤️

    Hi everyone.

So I've had my last charted chemotherapy treatment with less nausea this time thank goodness. My CT scan is booked for tomorrow to see how it's effected the cancer tumors. From there a decision will be made about anymore chemo to charted moving forward. My son and little dog Nova have been amazing support. And because of my kind and generous donors we are still enjoying our lovely home here in Palmerston North. Thank you all❤️. I will update again after the scan results. All prayers, best wishes and good vibes gratefully accepted!🙏

So sorry for the late update but unfortunately I got an infection that knocked me out very ill for over a week. I have had round 5 and 6. Round 6 was last Thursday and it went well, they have adjusted my meds now so less risk of an adverse nausea reaction. I have a CT scan on Monday to track what happens from here. Good news is the blood work that has seen a big drop from over 6000 (very ill) to 778. The journey is not over but this is exactly what i was hoping for from the chemotherapy. Again I could not be going through this without your kind and generous donations, they are making a huge contribution to living conditions. Thank you all and God bless 🙏❤️

    Hi Friends and Family,

Update from me is chemo treatment is tracking well so far. The week I have chemo is the worst with side effects, but I am understanding and managing them better. My off week treatment has seen improvements in energy levels, appetite, pain and general well being. I still have a medication stack, but my meds are at a constant now, not increasing. I am on a WINZ benefit now, which is less than I was expecting. Your give a little donation is making a huge difference right now, thank you all so much. Marcus my son is an absolute support and is coping so well, so proud of him. Nova my little fox terrier as always a true and loving companion. Hoping to return to work in the next few weeks God willing.

    Thank you all.

Friends and family my update so far is ive had 2 rounds of chemo and my 3rd round this Thursday. I am starting to understand the pattern around the sides effects. I was more unwell on the 2nd round, but felt better after it than the 1st. My goal is to get back to work and life as soon as possible. So far so good, fingers and toes crossed. Thank you all for your continued support, i would be absolutely struggling right now without your kindness and generosity. Thank you.

    Dear friends and donors.

Thank you all for your generous donations, support and messages. I am truly overwhelmed at the kindness and caring you have shown over these past days. I truly appreciate everyone of you and want you to know it will make a massive difference during my treatment.

I am still working on my good days, recently I was in A&E for 13hrs for nerve pain and a CT scan showed a shadow over my mid spine, but I'm showing no symptoms of back issues yet due to possible cancer spread. I am waiting for my first oncology appointment to start staging chemo or immuno therapy. I pray that it happens next week. I am in the system and medical staff assure me the ball is rolling. Whilst still working i still try to give my customers the best service but some days are better than others. As soon as I can start treatment I will be off work. I have a very supportive employer and work colleagues, so grateful for that. I will update once oncology appointment gives me some go forward I hope. 🙏
