Avery and her Nana's family need some support after a horrific car accident has left them both in critical condition.

Nationwide

On the 16th February sweet Avery and her Nana Melissa were in a serious car accident which has put them both in hospital in a critical condition. Avery is only 3 years old and was transferred straight to Starship Hospital and Melissa remains in Palmerston North Hospital. Both have sustained multiple injuries, too many to list but most concerning are Avery’s spinal and neck injuries and Melissa’s brain injury, and at this stage the doctors are still unable to advise of any longterm damage these injuries will cause.

Avery’s parents, Jonathon and Rochelle, have had to put their life on hold and are staying in Starship with Avery, taking things day by day waiting for a long term plan on her recovery and the injuries she has sustained. Their older daughter Madison and Avery’s twin brother Lachlan are staying with extended family in Palmerston North during this extremely difficult time.

Avery’s Nana Melissa is being supported by her daughter Jessica who has flown in from Melbourne leaving behind her young daughter for the first time. Along with Melissa’s sisters and nieces who have all travelled from out of town to be by her side.

Both Avery and Melissa have an incredibly long road ahead of them and having them both recovering in separate hospitals so far apart is a big financial burden on Avery’s parents and Melissa’s children. Jonathon will be travelling backwards and forwards to support both his daughter and his Mum during their recovery and Jessica will need to travel back and forth to Melbourne. We have set up this give a little page to provide financial support to Jonathon and Rochelle, and Jessica with travel and living costs while they are all staying away from home and travelling between Palmerston North and Auckland.

We hope to take the financial burden off the family so they can focus on being there for Avery and Melissa during their long road to recovery. We are asking for friends, family and acquaintances to please provide whatever assistance you can - Thank You
