Reast in Peace Timothy John Robertson. You will be forever missed but never ever forgotten xox
Wellington
On Saturday the 4th of August 2018, Tim helped his wife Lynda with some yard work before heading off to play Football for his Team the North Wellington Onslows. At the same time two of his daughters left to do the same for the Wellington United Diamonds. It was a typical sporting-filled Saturday for the Robertson family. Unfortunately this particular day would soon take a very tragic turn.
As captain at 50 years young, Tim always liked to his game a little early so he could prep his speech to rev up the lads. And he's pretty good at it, with the Onslows currently holding down 3rd position in the league! After the first half Tim sent a quick message to Jemma to see how Michaela and the Diamonds were doing. Jemma is currently coming back from injury so wasn't taking an active part in the game. She messaged back saying that we were in the lead and that Michaela had already scored 2 goals; to which he responded "Nice". His family are always on his mind. Then it was on to his team and their half time talk.
He informed them that he wasn't feeling too good and was unlikely to come back on. This is unusual in itself, given that he has played on with broken ribs before. They were just about to head back out when Tim collapsed. Unfortunately, despite his team mates and paramedics best efforts they were unable to revive Tim.
The Robertson family are now reeling with the shock loss of their 'rock'. Tim is massive personality that will be sorely missed. His passion, his spontaneity, his cheekiness and his love are traits that he will be remembered by.
He is survived by an amazing loving family; through his wife Lynda Robertson and their children Josh, Danielle, Michaela, Jemma, Holly and Emily.
I know that many amazing kiwis and foreigners alike have been putting their hands up asking how they can help out. So this is why we have set up this page. Together, we can help ensure that the loving Robertson family does not end up having to worry about a financial burden on top of the tremendous grief they are feeling. Here we can also leave messages of support and love to help the Robertsons through this difficult time.

Tim will be forever missed but never ever forgotten xox
I met Tim and his amazing family through Wellington United AFC. As part of the Committee we have received countless queries about how people can help the family; so with Lynda's blessing we have set up this givealittle page to help their family.
The money will be used to assist with Funeral Costs with any additional money put towards providing some financial security for the future for Lynda and her family.
Love and Support 30 August 2018
Just a very quick update to say the family is so so greatful for all of the love and support that they are continuing to receive. Little old NZ is just amazing and this support has given Lynda and the family a lot of strength. We all shared a toast for Tim at Jemma's recent 21st and we were all thinking of him during Mickey's 22nd birthday as well. It's been a time when having friends and family around means so so much.
Tim would be pretty chuffed by you all!
Take care guys and be there for your family xx
