Please Help Martin "The Music Man" who brings joy to so many.

Please help us to ease the financial burden our amazing friend Martin is currently facing due to his fight with cancer.

Martin Worthington aged 43 is a fantastic man, partner, father and friend. He has made it his life’s work to in store a passion for music by teaching both children and adults to play instruments.

He gives freely of his time to put on local gigs so his students have the opportunity to perform in front of a crowd in order to develop their confidence. He has mentored individual kids and bands over the past 10 years to achieve their goal of performing at Rock Quest. Once again he has done this without any payment and given hundred of hours of his time.

Four weeks ago Martin, who is neither a smoker or drinker, was diagnosed with stage 2 testicular cancer which has spread to the lymph nodes in his abdomen, chest and throat. He has has surgery to remove the main tumour and is currently going intensive chemotherapy which sees him admitted to hospital for a week long stay each time. On top of this there is a strong possibility he is going to require further surgery to remove residual cancerous cells from the nodes. Martin is the main bread earner in his family which consist of his partner Angie, 2 teenage daughters & 2 teenage sons who are still all at school.

Due to the fact Martin is self employed and is currently unable to teach this has placed a great financial burden on his family and a tremendous amount of stress on Martin himself, who at this time sole focus should be on getting well. Living in Wellsford means all the travel to and from hospital is costing a small fortune which this family just doesn't have to spare.

The community have rallied around with frozen meals which the family are so very grateful for but what this family really need now is some financial help to pay bills, rent and survive. If u are able to help, by even giving the smallest amount, it would help to alleviate some of the financial stress this family is currently under. Thank you all in advance.
