Please help me go to Indonesia to play and represent New Zealand.
Auckland
Hi, I am Roanne, 14 years old. I am a member of New Zealand Badminton Under 19 National Squad. Recently, I have been selected to represent the country to compete and train in Indonesia, Pembangunan Jaya Raya Junior Grand Prix on April 1-23. It's been an honour and privilege for me to represent New Zealand for the third time in a row now. Last year and the previous year I also played and represented NZ in Sydney Australia and proudly brought back the honour of winning the Singles title twice. This year, it is my goal to bring it home again.
Badminton, being a minority sport in New Zealand doesn't receive any funding and therefore every time, we travel and compete, our parents has to put up their sleeves and work harder to raise the required amount for us to get going and wear the Silver Ferns Jersey.
It is in this regard that I look forward for all your support, prayers and kind donations. I have been very grateful for all your help for the last two years and would do hope, that again, you will help me go to Indonesia this time. I have worked hard and prepared well for this. Badminton is the only sport that I am passionate about and going to Indonesia, where many of the great players come from has always been my dream. It would mean the world to me if I am able to join and travel with the team come April. However, this will not be possible without your help.
Any donations that you could give would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Roanne
I am helping my daughter raise funds for her upcoming trip to Indonesia
This will cover airfare, accommodation, tournament expenses, coaches fees, and training expenses. Should there be any surplus of the funds raised, will be used for my personal training expenses in New Zealand
