Please help me to raise funds for my university Medical School books

I have exhausted all options towards finding assistance towards buying my medical books for university, and am reaching out for help. I have managed to source funding for the student loan, but the essential required textbooks come to a total of $1906.79 NZD.

I was in a car accident in 2005, and despite pushing through to complete my schooling and starting university in 2008, there were many things that were not discovered by doctors at the time of my accident, which led to many years of surgery.

This unfortunately impacted on my early university studies, resulting in me having to restart my degree three years in, as the university would not grant any consideration when sudden surgeries impacted my examinations - an issue the university now has better systems for but too late for me.

Due to this four year setback, I started and completed a new Bachelors Degree in health sciences, and then was able to enrol in a Postgraduate diploma of science, which led to a Masters degree in science with the dream of Medicine (my original goal that was destroyed in the first two years of university). Fortunately these were enough and my dream of getting into Year 2 of Medicine and Surgery has come true (after 12 years of studying, working and volunteering including running my own not for profit volunteer organisation with over 2000 members).

Unfortunately, I had hope I would be able to get funding for books etc, and I cannot.

I am unable to receive book grants/funding from the university or StudyLink, and due to Covid, the university course books require require up front payment before Ubiq bring them over from Australia.

This means that unless I can come up with the money soon I will not be able to get my course books in time which will place me at an immediate disadvantage in terms of delayed learning.

I would appreciate any contribution that can go towards these books, as we retain the same books for the entirety of our medical degrees and they will be priceless in terms of learning value, and what I will be able to give back to our community as a professional.
