Please help my Dad, he has always helped others.

We need to raise funds to help Dad get another vehicle similar so he can continue to work, help others, carry on with his dreams.

Manawatu / Whanganui

On Monday night around 8pm my Dad's (Bevan Johnston) truck was parked outside his house, he was inside getting ready for bed after a huge day starting back at work. He heard a loud noise as a car collided with his truck. A witness told him a car came skidding along the road and wiped out his truck. Unfortunately, his trusty truck has now been written off, the chassis is bent. My Dad didn't have insurance because he didn't have a job for 18months despite trying very hard to find ANY job. Previous to this, he always had insurance. The person involved did a runner, has previously gone to jail for the same type of offending. This truck cost him 15K a few years ago and was his biggest asset.

My Dad has had an extremely hard time for the last few years. He didn't have much because a previous partner cleaned out everything he had. He was just getting back on his feet. He just got a new job and had only worked a few days before we were put into lockdown. He relies on his truck to get to work. He is currently borrowing someone elses car however that will only be available short term.

Speedway is an essential part of Dads life, we have all grown up around this. His vehicle is used for towing our cars to the track and all over the country. I know it is just a truck to some people but to my Dad it was much more. It was also somewhere he could make a bed in the back and camp in overnight if his trips were long. It was something he could also use to help other people with transport, breakdowns, shifting for example.

My Dad has helped so many other people and is always caring and looking out for others. He has never been one to ask for help so I have offered to do this for him. I can't help much myself as I am on maternity leave with a 5 month old baby. I am hoping there are some kind people to look out for him in this tough time.

Wow the time goes so fast.

I am so thankful for the love and support.

I have been amazed how sharing this can inspire complete strangers to help me out when I am down.

Some friends have put a lot of money into this.

I always thought the idea is if we give $10 or less it makes a huge difference and those small donations mean so much too as that is the idea.

Page closes on the 30th so not much time left.

I have been sussing out get my beast repaired.

Quote is $12,500 less paint so really crazy.

We will fix it ourselves and be back helping others and racing again.

I cannot wait as I have lots of extra crash energy to share on the track.

Also I fell on the concrete and dislocated 2ribs so been a bit tender or soft and old for those stupid enough to believe that.

Thanks so very much and if you can spare $5 now Is the hour.

But please share.

I got a couple of donations from strangers through friends sharing.

AMAZING.

I am blessed to have the friendships that have shared and donated and to me thats worth more than 10 Safari's.

Many Many Thanks.

You are Appreciated so Much.

And Kristel most of all thanks for helping me as I would never have gotten so far.

you gave me faith at the ight time.

xx

Bevan
