I'm wanting to ease the burden of losing their mum, a dear friend even if its only slightly. please help if you can. Thank you
Auckland
My dear friend passed away on the 27th Dec 2017. Leaving behind a 22 and 20yr old daughters and 18yr old son.
Angi had Brain tumours. And had to give up work 18mths ago. Her oldest daughter looked after Angi. Things seemed to be going well till last July. Where Angi had a seizure while driving luckily Melissa (oldest daughter was with her) that was the last time Angi drove...
The seizure left Angi's mobility very restricted. It took months for Winz to pay Melissa a carers benefit.
Both her daughters and son did an amazing job caring for their mum. No one so young should have to look after a parent.
I got a call the day before Christmas Eve. To say that Angi was going into hospice. My heart sunk as I knew what that meant.
I was one of the lucky ones that got to spend time with Angi before her final breath.
I am wanting to raise funds to help Melissa,Shannon and James as I would like to help with the expenses of their mothers funeral. They are so young and will take them years in paying it off.
*Melissa will now have no income
*Shannon is and apprentice
hairdresser
*James is a student.
Angi will only have her Kiwi Saver to give to her children
If you can help even if its $1 that will help.
If you were thinking of sending flowers or doing something for the kids. Perhaps do this instead
Angi was my dear friend . Her children do not need the burden of paying off a funeral. And what ever is left will help the kids
Funds will be used towards funeral expenses
