Mikayla Herbert is a National Champion show jumper. Against an international field she has qualified to represent New Zealand at the FEI World Jumping Challenge in Ecuador in September 2019.

Mikayla is not that rider who turns up in the trust-fund horse-truck-mansion with million dollar horses. She's a 22 year old vet nurse who has got to the top on horses shes scrimped and saved for and to be fair, shes been good at spotting a bargain.

While she is doing exactly that to fund her trip, we're asking friends, family and fans of the sport to give a little to help make this wonderful opportunity less of a burden on her family and help her to represent New Zealand on the world stage.

Use of funds

The funds will be used towards flights, accommodation and expenses for Mikayla and her support team which we expect to be about $15,000. Any funds exceeding that will be donated to the Rotorua Show Jumping Group to support other aspiring riders.
