Please help our beautiful Penny on her road to recovery

Last night our beautiful Penny was walking with her dad when she was hit by a car. The driver however continued to drive off. Our beautiful girl, yelping in immense pain and debilitated by the injuries and trauma, was inconsolable. My husband was finally able to get her in the car and rushed her to an after hours vet in Albany where thankfully they administered pain relief and began assessment. We found out today she has several fractures on her pelvis and a dislocated hip. As I write this she is still being closely monitored to make sure there’s no internal bleeding. She will have surgery tomorrow and probably a lengthy recovery. Our three young children miss their doggie and we just hope she can fully recover from this.
