Please help our connecter-of-communities and single Mum Mary Batchelar,while she is quite literally, in the fight of a lifetime.

Many of you will know that our wonderful, vivacious connecter-of-communities Mary has been in the fight of a lifetime since being diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of October 2024.

After 5 months of chemo - 16 rounds - Mary has now had a partial mastectomy and lymph node

Removal. With genetics and pathology still

To come there is no certainty she won’t need more surgery or chemo.

Mary has had over 3 months of unpaid work and more time off is required to rest and

Heal. Even without further surgery she will need radiation which will also render her unable to

Work.

As a single mum this is hard and she is relying on help at this time. The money raised so far

Has literally covered her mortgage and insurances for the months without income.

By donating what you can, this would alleviate some of the financial stress Mary is under, and enable her to continue focusing on her treatment and recovery.

This is our time to repay Mary for all those acts of kindness, connection, wisdom, moments of lunacy (in a GREAT way!) – big or small, whatever you are able to give, it would mean the world and make a tangible difference.
