Waikato
To all our Family and Friends
On ANZAC Day, we experienced more senseless gun violence. This time a horrific attack happened to Lily’s father and our friend Jim Zheng.
Jim was attacked and shot in the head at his place of work, the Karapiro Café. The café is Cindy and Jim’s pride and joy and should be a safe place, free of crime and violence. This wasn’t a hate crime or racism, it wasn’t even attempted burglary. This was a 67 year old, caucasian male (name suppressed) who committed this violent act because of his mental state. A random, terrifying violent act that almost killed Jim.
Jim is in Waikato Hospital and his condition was described as stable but critically injured.
Please join with us in supporting Lily and her family and help Jim on his long road to recovery.
Please give as little or as much as you can afford.
With best regards
Warwick, Angela, Simone & Jack Hill-Rennie
