Please Help Shadow- my Bengal Cat - Hit-&-run

Shadow, my gorgeous Bengal cat, was hit by a car (a hit and run) 2 weeks ago and sustained a serious pelvic fracture. The vehicle did not stop, and poor Shadow managed to drag himself home :((( Shadow needs your help to pay for the vet bill. I have already taken out a bank loan for surgery costs. This page is the remaining costs. The vet bill includes acute care (X-rays, fluid management, treatment for hypothermic shock), pain management and stablisation for Shadow.

About me:

I am a full-time mature medical student studying to be a doctor as I feel passionate about making a difference in peoples' lives. Studying medicine came about as a result of my own medical / surgical history which also unfortunately means I cannot have children. Shadow (as sad as this may sound), is like a substitute for me. He is a wonderful, friendly and loveable cat-friend who has kept me company during my grief and during my medical studies. Now, he needs your help.

Since I am unable to work full-time given my hospital based studies (long hours), I am not sure how exactly I am going to pay for his Dunedin vet bill. I will give back to the community once I am a doctor, but right now, have enormous amounts of debt.

Please help me pay for the rest of Shadow's vet bill.
