Raising funds to support and replace belongings for Marijke and her children who lost everything in a house fire.
Mount Maunganui, Tauranga
Marijke, her two children, Indie and Asher and their pets escaped their burning home at 3am on Sunday the 17th March with only what they wore to bed. Their heroic neighbour woke to go to the bathroom and saw their house ablaze and alerted them, saving their lives. Their little house and precious belongings were destroyed. Luckily no one was physically hurt but the upset and shock will take a long time to recover from.
In response to community requests we have created this page as a place for people to support Marijke, Indie and Asher in any way they can as they start the long process of rebuilding their lives.
Any support offered will go directly to replacing house hold essentials for example beds, linen, a fridge, washing machine, kitchen equipment etc as well as going towards the huge amount of unexpected costs incurred as a direct result of the tragedy.
Marijke wanted to share that insurance is supporting the rebuild of their home and contributing a minimal amount to contents replacement.
Any support is hugely appreciated and will go a long way to helping Marijke and her children move forward.
Marijke is a very close dear friend of 24 years.
Any donations will go towards immediate needs for the family such as clothes, shoes, school supplies, toiletries, household items eg fridge, washing machine, beds etc, as they have lost all of their belongings.
