Help give back to a lady who gives all she can
Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui
I met Melissa while her and her husband Gaz were going through IVF. After a 7 year fertility journey, they were fortunate enough to fall pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Morgan. She is everything they could have ever dreamed for. She is truly a blessing and just the sweetest little baby.
When Morgan was only 4 months old, they received some terrible news. Gaz, was diagnosed with inoperable, terminal pancreatic cancer, and was given only months to live. He will likely not see his baby girl's first birthday. This came as a big shock to us all and we are devastated. They are slowly coming to terms with the fact that Gaz will not see Morgan grow-up and she will grow up without her Dad.
As Melissa has been on maternity leave and Gaz has been unable to work due to his declining health, they have used all of their savings and now have limited funds to fall back on. Despite this terrible ordeal, Melissa has gone back to her job as a teacher in order to support her family and continues to put everybody else first.
I have created this page to support her and little Morgan and show them just how big their village is, as they learn to navigate a future without Gaz.
My hope is to relieve some of the financial pressure a funeral can leave, and help with any bills that may arise for their family. Every single cent helps no matter how big or small.
I appreciate not everyone is in a position to donate but please share this page so we can spread this far and wide.
I met Melissa while we both were on our IVF journey, she has become a very important part of my life.
Any medical bills for Gaz, Funeral and anything leftover will go towards Morgan's needs

With sadness in our hearts we said goodbye to a good brother, husband, father and friend yesterday. We celebrated Gaz’s life the way he wanted and reminisced on happier times. The turn out was absolutely amazing, and we think he would have been happy with the day.
This day would not have been what it was without all of your donations and support. Once again, thank you for all your amazing help and support.
Mel, this is just heartbreaking and just so unfair, but know you have a village behind you and it is huge, we got you.
Thank you so much 💓
