Please help us to raise money to support Toyah, Dan and Matai after loosing everything with the floods of Cyclone Gabriel.
Hawke's Bay
Kia ora!
The devastation caused by Cyclone Gabriel has left our beautiful darlings Toyah, Dan and Matai without a home. Extreme flooding in the Hawkes Bay region has their whare/bus and all their belongings under water and left them with nothing.
Dan, Toyah and their 2 year old son had recently moved to Napier to complete their dream of building a bus to home their little whānau. So many hours of hard mahi and all their money over the last couple of years have gone into preparing their bus to get it ready to live in. Like many others after this extreme weather they have lost everything.
If you can, please help show the love and give koha so they can get back on their feet.
Toyah and Dan had contents insurance to which they are waiting to hear about. However at this stage we know that it won’t even be enough to cover Dans tools.

An update from our whānau xx 24 February 2023
Hello beautiful people. Toyah here. Just wanted to give you all an update and thank you again for your support. Dan has been back to our home to help with the clean up and attempt to salvage some things. Sadly, not much can be saved. The silt from flood waters is considered dangerous/contaminated so as much as I was hoping a good dry clean might save my favourite fluffy coats, sadly we just had to let it all go. For Dan, saying goodbye to our bus has been hard. I cannot tell you the amount of work he did on the bus, in preparation for our family to live in. We are staying strong though, and trusting in the divine unfolding of this major life event.
Thank you for helping us to rebuild. Arohanui,
Toyah, Dan and Matai xx
