Please Help Timmy Get Better

On August 5th, our wonderful cat Timmy was attacked by another animal (suspected dog) while he was out enjoying his day.

When we came home that evening and he came inside, I knew something was wrong immediately when Tim staggered in the door. I checked, and his whole back leg was slashed open, and we had no idea how long the poor boy had been out there hurt.

We rushed him to the after hours emergency vet, and they took amazing care of him over the weekend. He spent his week at the local vet clinic, and came home to be with us at night.

Now he needs to be cared for at Massey Vet Hospital, as we discovered that his urethra was torn in the attack, and it likely needs to be surgically repaired. Massey is a wonderful vet hospital, but our vet bills have now skyrocketed and exceeded the amount we are covered for with his pet insurance.

We decided to open this Givealittle because we are struggling to afford his bills. After moving cities, starting new jobs, our daughter starting at daycare, and the rising costs of living, we just can’t afford it. He has a really good prognosis so far, and it would break our hearts to have to put him down just because we can’t afford to treat him.

We don’t usually ask for help in these sorts of situations, but we could really use some help from our friends, family, and community. Please help us to get our poor boy the best care we can, as we don’t know what we would do without him. Thanks so much for reading ♥️
