Chaylin & Lucas: Car stolen during birthday and Christmas celebrations
Our Car was stolen on my Birthday, including birthday & Xmas gifts, and work equipment.

Hi friends and whānau,
On Sunday 20th December, my partner Lucas and I celebrated my 23rd birthday. We celebrated in the city with some dessert between 7.40pm and 8.40pm and headed back to our car.
We came back to Lucas’s car stolen and out of sight.
The car mainly included birthday gifts I had received only hours earlier in the night, family Christmas gifts, and Mechanic equipment.
The insurance the car has does not cover theft of vehicle, and we would highly assume the Christmas and birthday gifts will never return to us.
My birthday has been ruined nonetheless, however we need help to move forward and get back on track with our everyday lives.
We are in need of a car if the police do not find our one, and we are in need to replace the Mechanic equipment for Lucas’s work. If the police do find our car, we will need to pay for towage fees and possibly replacement parts for repairs and the equipment.

Use of funds
We will buy a car if the police do not find ours. If they do find it, we may need replacement parts for repair, as well as repurchasing the stolen Mechanic equipment. If we exceed our donation amount, we will replace the Xmas gifts for family.

Car found 25 December 2020
Hi all,
Lucas received a call yesterday saying his car was in Hamilton. We were very lucky and fortunate to find everything in the car that we had in there (a strange miracle)! However, the car was damaged when we found it and it has to be written off.
Once again, thank you for everybody’s support, and we are happy to have an ending after these unfortunate last 5 days before Xmas. We will be using the funds to pay for towing and scrapyard fees.
