    Hi everyone, although our page closed, I wanted to take this opportunity to give you all an update.

    Gerhardus will have tomorrow his last chemo dosage no 10(he was only allowed to receive 10 as per our original post)

    We received this morning an update via phone from the Oncologist re Gerhardus latest MRI which was on done on 16th of May at Middlemore, his MRI shows he is stable. The Dr is very very happy with how Gerhardus took the treatment.

    His words “it was awesome how well Gerhardus took treatment compared to other patients, and we are beyond grateful for that.

    Gerhardus will this continue with the Avastin alone now and will have an MRI again between 2-3 months from now.

    We are seeing our other oncologist on Tuesday which will show us the scans comparison.

  • Update 😃🙏

    Hi everyone

    We just wanted to share the fantastic news, Gerhardus had a MRI last week and we were informed about the results. I will use the Oncologist's words: MRI shows dramatic response with significant reduction in cancer volume, we are beyond grateful and blessed.

    Again thank you, the treatment wouldn't be possible without your generousity 🤲🏻.

    Gerhardus will this continue with treatment, he will have next week Friday his 5th cycle, Dr will request a MRI again between cycle 9 and 10.

    Please keep praying🙏 and sending positivity towards us.

    Hi everyone. Gerhardus had last Friday his second treatment, all went well, just a hoarse voice. He will have next week Friday his 3rd dose of treatment if his blood work is good to go by Wednesday, so far it was all good. He has every second week on the Wednesday bloods in order for the treatment to go a head on a Friday.

    His follow up MRI will be in March again.

    Will keep you posted.

    Hi everyone

    Wanted to give an update as where we at.

    Gerhardus couldn't have treatment on Friday as planned because a blood test was missed and therefore the Oncologist didn't want to proceed with the treatment, good news though Gerhardus had today on Auckland anniversary his first treatment, it was a long day, to administer the drugs took over 4hours in total but we are beyond grateful to have this much needed treatment and it wouldn't have been at all possible if it wasn't for each and everyone's generous donations, we are forever grateful, thank you. Please keep sharing our page in order for us to reach our estimate total of $91 000.
