Please help us care for my daughter after her kidney transplant

My name is Kathy & my 32 year old daughter Alexa urgently needs a kidney transplant. Myself & my other daughter are asking for help in covering the costs of flights so we can go and care for her after her transplant. Alexa lives in the US with her partner & 10 yr old son. Unfortunately, she was devastatingly diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure.

Finally, after delays from COVID-19 & months of daily dialysis, Alexa is going to receive the kidney she so desperately needs from her loving partner. After the surgery she will require 4-6 weeks of care which is not covered by insurance. We plan to provide this care to her and her partner and we really want to be able to be with her and see her after so many years, during this hard time.

We do not normally ask for help but we know it is time to reach out to our friends and community. This transplant will save Alexa's life, of which she still has so much to live and we are incredibly grateful for any donation no matter how small.

We often get asked why not bring Alexa back to NZ for the surgery? Unfortunately a move to NZ would be too disruptive for Alexa's son and their family. Also if Alexa were to have the transplant in NZ, any future issues with her kidney would not be covered by US health insurance. For these reasons Alexa must have her transplant in the US and we need to go over there to support and care for her and we just do not have the means to sadly. Please help me help my daughter.
