This page is to help with the financial struggle of funding a farewell service for Ross Brimicombe.
Manawatu / Whanganui
Cowboy (Ross Brimicombe) passed away in his home at Taihape on Thursday 13 Dec. 2018. Please help the few close family members of Cowboy give him a send off he would be proud of by reminiscing the days gone by of rank bulls, pig headed dogs and strong willed horses. Funeral services are costly and as most people know, Cowboy, was not big on saving money therefore the task of funding the service has been landed on his loving sister and nieces.
I (Kendra) will fondly remember Uncle Ross (cowboy) for his always present stained cowboy hat, that token dart between his lips and the rough voice of a man of few words. In his day he was a formidable cowboy, riding and placing regularly on both bulls and broncs. He had a passion for horses, dogs and mustering the high country of taihape the old school way. He spent many a day roaming the tussocky range with a rifle slung over his shoulder stalking the elusive sika stag, or bashing through scrub down into steep knarly gullys making new tracks to the back of beyond, to find that perfect hunting campsite.
This is the way some of us will remember cowboy, but without doubt, there will be many stories to be told and a few beers to be downed while doing so as we share the memory of a bloody good old bugger.
